The Welfare Committee is a cross-campus body, committed to the wellbeing of all students. The Welfare Committee is an active extension of Kumadvathi College of Education. Student welfare committee is formed for the welfare of the students. This committee shall review the conditions that contribute to the academic success, personal development and well-being of students. Aim of the committee is to recommend on policies relating to students’ welfare, to bring a harmonious atmosphere in campus, to recommend on the enhancement of student facilities, students’ life and experiences at the college, to review orientation processes and practices of each program in order to ensure and  these programmes meet the needs of all students and to focus on all relevant student issues determined by current events by taking into consideration the suggestions of committee members.

The goals and objectives of the Welfare Committee are to:

• Promote the idea that student welfare is intrinsic to the education process.
• Communicate with teachers, students and parents on matters relating to student welfare.
• Collect and share information relating to student welfare matters with relevant staff members to support holistic responses
• Initiate, develop, co-ordinate and evaluate programs that promote student and staff welfare
• Ensure that the Safeguarding Children Policies, Anti-Bullying Policies and other welfare policies and procedures are being followed
• To recommend on the enhancement of students’ facilities during their course of study
• To analyse and solve the problems of students regarding academic & Institutional activities.
• The Student Welfare Committee helps the students understand their unique personal abilities and tendencies through interviews and assessment tests.
• It helps foster discovering and boosting the students through propersports, social and cultural activities, which helps to maintain a strong relationship among the students.
